Thriving digital future

Data can be one of the greatest assets for a company. For Europe to tackle the future opportunities and challenges created by the digital industry, it needs a thriving and responsible private sector. Such view has been confirmed by recent communications from the EU Commission President von der Leyen stressing the need for Europe to lead the transition to a new digital world. However, with recent regulatory disruptions affecting how companies process and transfer data the question remains whether the EU can fulfill its promise of a thriving digital future.

Daniel Sanchez Cordero Canela received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He then passed the bar admission from the State of New York and is currently a member of several legal associations such as the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association as well as the Mexican Bar Association. He is also the author of several legal publications. Since 2018 Mr. Sanchez Cordero joined A1 Telekom Austria Group where he currently works as the A1 Group Data Governance Officer and leads the strategy development on data privacy and data protection across A1 footprint.
